"Honduras is a vibrant country, brimming with clear turquois waters, pristine beaches, lush jungles, breathtaking mountains, challenging rivers, and fascinating ancient ruins. Vast expanses of mother nature are to be found everywhere. We welcome you here to learn more about this beautiful country, explore all it's wonders, and eventually, see Honduras for yourself." - Honduras.com

The above was pulled from Honduras.com. It is true that Honduras is a beautiful country, but there are other areas of this vast country which is less "pristine."

The capital city, Tegucigalpa, is a very rich city in the valley, but, the mountains and hillsides tell a different story.

The area sorrounding the large capital are some of the poorest sections in the world. Children are roaming the streets looking for something to eat. One room houses are home to multiple families and most have dirt floors and the walls are made from plastic or sticks.

There is hope! The family at Fairview Heights Church sponsor Marc and Terri Tindall. Marc and Terri moved to Honduras in 2007. There they organize multiple outreach programs including a children's home, house buildings, medical assistance, and most recently school supplies. The houses built are sturdy structures and change the lives of many families.
