Joe Taylor

On the staff since 1987, Joe's primary areas of responsibility are preaching, evangelism and adult education. He is a graduate of Harding University with a degree in Bible and journalism. He has a master's degree in speech communication from Southern Illinois in Edwardsville. In addition to serving as minister, he also has coached basketball and soccer at the local middle school and currently serves as a college adjunct instructor at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC). He and his wife Terri have two children, Todd and Kelsey.

Gene Ishum

Gene joined our church staff in January 2009. He is no stranger though to our congregation having served as an elder on two different occasions. He also had served in the past as a deacon and elder at the Church of Christ in Granite City. Gene is a retired steelworker from National Steel in Granite City. He can teach classes, preach and lead singing, but his primary responsibilities are working with our senior member program and visitation of members. He and his wife Ruby have 2 children, Michael and Lisa. They are the proud grandparents of 5 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
